There's Gold In Them Thar Hills!

It's been a long long time since we've visited Coloma - where gold was first discovered in California.  All school kids go there on a field trip in elementary school, but it was time for us to go.  And the drive there is so nice and pretty through the canyon.

After taking this pic, we saw the sign that invited us to respect the rock and not climb/walk on it.  OOPS!  It's an Indian grinding rock.
