Last Fall, we rode the lifts at Sundance to see the beautiful views and changing leaves, and decided we would do it every year. Well, this year, we added zip lining to the adventure. The zip line admission includes the lift, as you have to go to the top to zip line down. The weather was still warm, but we were just a few weeks too early for the peak of the changing fall colors.

Well, instead of zipping down on lines, we zipped down the mountain in these. As soon as we got to the top, there was a 'weather delay' - lightning was spotted less than 10 miles away, so we had to wait 20 minutes. If no other lighting strikes occurred, then we could continue on the zip lines. The lift however, has a different radius for lighting - they have a 15 mile radius, so they were not letting anyone else up the mountain and getting everyone down from the top.
20 minutes passed without any lightning, so we headed down to the 'practice zip line' where you get a feel for how it all work. 2 of the 10 in our group finished the demo, and another weather delay kicked in. So we waited another 20 minutes. By this time, everyone else was off the mountain and the lift was closed. The employees were looking at the weather radar and determined the weather was going to get worse, so it was decided to cancel the zipping. We then waiting for them to ride up with the side by sides to take us all down.

So we got a to ride the lift up, ride the 4-wheeler down and rescheduled for 2 weeks.
Fast forward 2 weeks, and the leaves were so vibrant now. We started up the hill on the lift.
Can you see the black dot in the middle of the clouds? Yep, that's someone zipping down

By the time we got to the top (3 lifts and 45 minutes later), the sky was not so clear. They closed the lift again to anyone going up for a 'weather delay' but the zippers were still going down, so we headed over to the demo zip
We did the demo and headed to the first line.

So after two attempts, riding up the mountain on the lifts twice, down the mountain once in 4x4s and once on the zips, we finally got it done!
