It's become an annual tradition now to go as a full family somewhere (usually St. George) for a weekend each year.
This year was no different - and we all headed to St. George for the weekend. We had really good weather - which can be quite hot in Southern Utah this time of year, usually around 90-95. It was around 80 which was warm enough to go swimming, and cool enough to go hiking. It was perfect.
This was the view from our Airbnb deck. Super close to 4 pools and some smaller water slides that were probably for kids, but we all enjoyed them!
Corey found a hike up a small gorge that was easy enough for the little kids and interesting enough for the big kids

We had a lot of shoes!
We played games, watched movies, ate lots and lots of treats!
We went on a short hike (1.3 miles each way) to Yant Flat. The longest part of getting here was the 10 mile dirt road (each way). It was so worth it!
After walking through brush, trees and a lot of sand, the sandstone mountains suddenly appeared out of nowhere. The colors were amazing and doesn't even compare to these photos
The sandstone formations were very strange and even though parts of it were steep, really steep, the formations were fairly easy to climb up and down - just don't slip!
We all climbed to the top of this little rock (the one in front and colored)
Jacob and Aubrey
Every where you looked was a different view and each one was amazing

Matt got some incredible videos from his drone:
We spent some time at a fantastic park in St. George that everyone loved:
Seems a little one sided - Aubrey, Jacob, Noah & Hannah on one side and Jane on the other. Jane loved it!!
Jacob and Hannah tried out the climbing wall
Let's go for a spin!

On the way home, we stopped in at Kolob Canyon which is the northern most part of Zion National Park, but it can't be reached from the "normal" Zion Park and hardly anyone goes here. It's very small and basically is a 5 mile scenic drive with a few hikes mixed in, but it's beautiful!
We had a great weekend trip! We had an added bonus of having Noah and Aubrey with us too!
