This last Wednesday, Meghan had a track meet to go to and she got in the school newspaper! She was so excited! Her name in the press!

Only problem is, is that is incorrect. She didn’t have a “few day’s notice” like the paper said to prepare for her high jump.
She had about 10 minutes!
They were at the meet, and the coach realized that there was nobody to do the high jump, and they would have to forfeit if nobody did it. Meghan had never done the high jump before – never even practiced it!
So she was standing by the coach and the coach looked at her and told her to go do it. Meghan was like, “huh? do what? I’ve never done that!” The coach told her she would be great!
So Meghan sauntered over to the high jump area, lined herself up, aimed, ready, set, GO! and she did it!
Oh yeah, and she got first place on it too! The paper didn’t mention that either!

It's SOOOOOO not lame! You're quite the girl and we all need to know about it. Not everyone has a dad who is willing to buoy them up - so take what you can get. : )
