Per tradition, we usually go to the Balloon Fest in Provo for the 4th of July. It's one of the largest balloon festivals in the country and one where you can really get up close and personal. It's held every 4th of July for 3 mornings - you have to get there at 6am. The weather has to be perfectly calm for the balloons to lift off, and apparently, we've always been pretty lucky, because every time we've gone, the balloons have lifted off........except this time. The weather was calm on the ground, but they said about 600 feet up the winds were unpredictable and strong. The balloons didn't lift off on any of the 3 days this year, but it's still a sight to see the balloons inflate and watch the process.
