Which School Should Jacob Attend?

Wow.....

It's February and this is the first post of the year?  I've been slacking.

What better way to start out 2018 with a poll of where should Jacob go to college at?

He is hoping for BYU still, and should know by the beginning of March.

But, he has options!!!

You know that when you get a good report card, you get free tokens at Chuckeeeee  Cheeeeezzzzzeeess, right?  Well, you do.

Kids, listen up.  You can get more than just tokens with good grades!!!  Because he is such a good student, he gets more than just free skeeball...  Take a look:

Option 1:
SUU - Southern Utah University in Cedar City:

Scholarship of $4500 a year for 4 years

Option 2:  DSU - Dixie State University in St. George:

100% of tuition for 4 years

Option 3: UVU - Utah Valley University right here in Provo:

$4000 a year for 4 years

Option 4?  BYU?  Because I work there, he already gets half tuition...he just needs to get accepted first!

March 3- Jacob just got this:

Fall Football

Ok, so we all know all teams can't be winning teams all the time.  This year is BYU's non-winning year, so we won't talk about that.  Still, it is a fun afternoon when the weather is good, for a football game.

With BYU almost dead last in college teams across the country, the only chance we had of winning is playing one of the 3 worse teams left - and today was one of those ha ha.  BYU was able to win this game, and win big.

We were able to get some excellent tickets from a very good friend, this game, Row 3 to be exact.  We were so close we could hear the coach of the other team in their huddles.

VIDEO:
Let the game begin!

We were very close to the field!  As close as we've ever been

We were right in front of the 'hotline' phones.  Neither of them ever rang

Happy Bday Jacob!

October 27 2018 = Jacob's 18th Bday!!

We did some family dinners, movie, and he had a party with his friends at the local trampoline/jump/acrobat place.

He voted, which he really enjoyed too!

We came home and he opened his presents, which all had a theme.  He bought himself a season ski pass this year, along with his friends, so all his gifts revolved around keeping warm!

He didn't want to move out of the chair, or even sit up. Silly boy.

This was a three in one head warmer - scarf, full face hat and normal hat.

Hand warmers

Ski pants

Ski helmet

Happy Bday Jacob!  We love you!

Fall Break

Mid-October brings "Fall Break" from school and the entire state usually heads to Southern California, mostly to Disneyland.

We had planned on going to Arches National Park but couldn't find any lodging.  Once lady I called said, "are you kidding? You know it's fall break that week, right?"

So, we instead stayed around here and did things where we could sleep in our own bed each night.

We went bowling, mini-golf, lunch, dinner, nickel-cade, watched movies, had popcorn, laser tag, hmm..what else....fixed our outside porch light which has been broke for about 6 months and it blows the breaker each time we turn it on, relaxed, took naps, etc.

It was a pretty good fall break!

We finally found the problem - the wire down the tube in the middle of the light was cut and broke somehow so each time it was turned it, huge sparks would arc and blow the breaker.  I had to replace all the wiring but it all works now!

Black light mini golf

Nickel-cade fun

The hardest part was trying to decide what cheap trinkets and candy to get with all our tickets

Super yummy lunch at Brick Oven - they have the BEST homemade rootbeer.  It was Jacob's bday lunch cuz his was free!

Happy bday!

After lunch - very full

STTTRRRIIIKKKKKEEEEE!!!!!

I'm not sure why I forgot to take laser tag pics...but that was a lot of fun too.

Happy Fall Break!
