BYU Tennis

Since me and Jacob have been taking Tennis classes (I take some at BYU and Jacob is on the tennis team at his high school), we decided to try out a BYU Tennis Match.

It's so low key, not at all like the football and basketball games!  Low crowds, free pizza, and Cosmo even comes and interacts with everyone!

It was pretty fun.

Dino Park

When we lived in Utah before, when Meghan and Marissa were little, we took them to the Dinosaur Park in Ogden Canyon.  We thought it was so very cool and they loved it.  Well, now it was Jacob and Hannah's turn to go to the Dino Park.

It seems that the Dino Park is more suited to younger kids....say like 8 and younger.   They ran through the park and were done in no time!

After the Dino Park, we stopped at the air museum at the Air Force Base.

This one looks like he has no head..he does..it's just turned funny.  Jacob was determined to climb on at least one dinosaur, but Mom kept a good eye on him to make sure he didn't.  He still tried..over and over.

We all laughed at how funny the bear looks...Why is he so tall?

We then stopped at the free air museum at the Hill Field Air Force Base, also in Ogden.  It's quite an impressive museum.

This is overlooking the valley, looking from Draper to the north-to Salt Lake City.  We stopped on the way home to see the view.

Provo Temple

Most of you know the Provo Tabernacle was built by the pioneers in 1898 and was a landmark in Provo.  If you've ever lived in Provo, you probably went to some church meetings in the Tabernacle.

In December 2010, the night before a Christmas concert, the building caught fire by a lamp left on in the attic and the entire building burned to the ground.  Only the outside walls remained.  After many months of studying the walls and what to do with the property, the Church announced it would be the 150th Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Everyone was shocked and so happy the building would be rebuilt.

At extensive cost and time, the Church meticulously rebuilt the building to Temple standards, which is perfection.

Finally, in early 2016 it was done and it was time for the open house before it was dedicated to be a Temple.  It is a beautiful building inside and out!

BYU Basketball

So, we went to some Football games in the fall, so let's go to a Basketball game in the winter!

We'd never been to a BYU Basketball game. It was a lot of fun!  Lots of energy, and so much shorter than football!  Only an hour and half!  We liked it!
