BYU

BYU is such a beautiful campus.   You would be hard pressed to find a weed in all the extensive landscaping.  BYU Grounds crew is known for their attention to detail.  Many students work for BYU Grounds and the worst part is during the winter, when it snows, they have to report to work at 4am to start shoveling snow off the sidewalks.

These pics were taken in September, far away from the snow.....

Also, we went to a sound science show and afterward got to tour the two specialty sound rooms - the anechoic and reverberation rooms.   The anechoic is sound proof - sound doesn't carry - the sound waves do not bounce around.  You can turn and face the wall, and say something, the someone standing behind you won't hear it.     It's used to science experiments and for recording artists.

The reverberation room is just the opposite.  Sound carries and echos and echos and echos....it too is used for science experiments, but it isn't used for recording artists.

Looking East towards Y Mountain from one of the rooftop terraces.

This is the non-echo room.  All those things in the arc are microphones to pick up sound from every angle from someone who would be recording.
