Today, Journey’s and Van’s (both make clothing and shoes specializing in the ‘skateboarding’ crowd) made a stop on their nationwide tour for a free show. Their ‘nationwide’ show only goes to 5 places and one of them was Roseville!
They set up their course in the mall parking lot and had a Battle of the Bands, BMX Bike jumping and half-pipe, skateboarding half-pipe, and motorcycle jumping. They also had a small skateboarding park set up for kids to try out, even providing helmets and skateboards for the kids to use.
Nobody except Jacob wanted to go with me, so it was a boy’s afternoon out! We got on our sagger pants, wore our hats backwards, and were off!
We got there pretty early because I thought it was going to be crowded later on, and we were right! We did get front standing by the demo’s for the motorcycles and bike and skateboards, but upon leaving, it took us 30 mins just to get out of the parking lot because so many people were coming! It was so packed!!
It was cool…and had a good time! And got a little sun too!
