A few Saturday’s ago (7/11) we found out that the IMAX theater in Downtown Sac was having a free movie every hour in celebration of their 10th Birthday! It was first come first serve, so we headed out at 9am to get tickets for the 10am show.
The movie was so good! It was about the “wild” things people do in California. Water Surfing, Sky Surfing, Painting the Golden Gate Bridge, and stuff like that. It was an excellent movie! Reminded us of the movie at California Adventure (Disneyland) “Soarin’ Over California”
Jacob found some play items while we were waiting in line. It was a statue that was surrounded by a fountain in the middle of the road. Made a great climbing structure!
Meghan and Jacob entertained themselves while we were waiting in line.
Here is a small sample of “Sky Surfing” – where they jump out of a plane and have a snowboard attached to their feet. (This little clip is nothing like it is on an Imax screen!)

After the movie, we went to a nearby park and looked at the Rose Garden and fed the ducks, and watched the homeless guys feeding the ducks.
I saw these very tall palm trees. They were so tall! Taller than any other trees!
On the way home, we stopped in at 7-11 to get free slurpees, as since the date was 7/11 they had free slurpees today!

Brice (my boyfriend) and I went to get free slurpies but we couldn't find an actual SLURPY place. So we had to get shaved ice instead. Not quite the same and not free but still the same concept.
I've seen that video with the sky diving snow boarders. Um, crazy.
