Winter Cruise Time

You probably know January is one of the cheapest time to go on a cruise, and you probably know we take advantage of that.

For cruise #29, we headed to Florida to go on the Carnival Vista for a pretty relaxing itinerary.  The first stop was the Dominican Republic, where we went snorkeling, the 2nd stop was Carnival's private island Half Moon Cay for some beach time, and the third stop was Carnival's new $600 million debut, Celebration Key in the Bahamas for some more beach time.

Our group of 2 quickly became a group of 12, with Shauna/Don (Shelley's sister/husband), their friends (Kevin/Jennifer), our good friends Max/Stephanie of 32+ years, our newly found friends of 5 years, George/Brenda,  (Stephanie's sister) and our longtime friends of 34+ years Christine/Deuce.  We've not cruised with Kevin/Jennifer and Christine/Deuce before so we were excited to have them join us.

We left from Provo on Breeze for non-stop to Orlando

The sail away party was vibing!

And look who we saw!!!!!!   Shauna and Don!  They came to dance!

Shelley was getting started on the ice cream, trying to beat Jacob and Hannah's record for the week.  (She didn't even come close)

Big screen movie time

We had 2 day at sea making our way down to the DR

VIDEO:  Don played Dodgeball and was the last man standing!  He did so well!

We met up with the Mardi Gras (which we've been on), - you can see the size difference!

We went snorkeling in the Dominican Republic and saw a good amount of fish

The ever famous Carnival Chocolate Melting Cake with ice cream

We all got together for dinner in the Italian restaurant

The next day we arrived at Half Moon Cay - Carnival's private island.  Last time we were there, it was stormy and cold.  Not this time!  It was warm and beautiful

VIDEO:

We had a giant table every night for dinner that actually fit all of us!

VIDEO:  Watch for Shauna - her face was the best!

The next day we arrived at Celebration Key, just over 6 months old that Carnival built from the ground up.

It was beautiful, clean and relaxing

Here's a little food for you:

And it's not a Carnival cruise unless you have the watermarked photos!

This was probably our most chill and relaxing cruise......just beach time and it was great!
