Most of you know the Provo Tabernacle was built by the pioneers in 1898 and was a landmark in Provo. If you've ever lived in Provo, you probably went to some church meetings in the Tabernacle.
In December 2010, the night before a Christmas concert, the building caught fire by a lamp left on in the attic and the entire building burned to the ground. Only the outside walls remained. After many months of studying the walls and what to do with the property, the Church announced it would be the 150th Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Everyone was shocked and so happy the building would be rebuilt.
At extensive cost and time, the Church meticulously rebuilt the building to Temple standards, which is perfection.
Finally, in early 2016 it was done and it was time for the open house before it was dedicated to be a Temple. It is a beautiful building inside and out!
