Disneyland!!!

So, we decided, pretty much on a whim, to go to Disneyland. We didn't tell the kids. Wednesday, when they got home from school, I had come home early from work and told them they needed to pack because we were going on a trip.

They kept asking what we were going to do, what should they bring, how long, etc. I told them we would be coming back Sunday and that we would be outside, doing a lot of walking, so to plan for that.

Hannah especially, was not very happy that I wouldn't tell her where we were going. We started heading south, and kept going and going and going. Finally, they decided we were going to Las Vegas to see Shelley's sister and visit them, which was true, so we said "sure..that's where we're going."

We finally go to Vegas, drove through the Strip, and kept going. I told them Shelley's sis lives just a little ways away from the main town. We finally reached Primm, on the border, where we were staying for the night. They were surprised again that we were staying at a hotel! The next morning, we got up early to reach Disneyland by opening. We kept driving, and they had come to the understanding we might be going to Six Flags or the beach.

When I exited the freeway on Disney Blvd, Hannah knew...and she was very excited. Jacob sort of knew already - at least he knew we were going to Anaheim...You see, as I was searching for hotels for the past few weeks, Mr. Google decided to put up ads for "Hotels in Anaheim" and Jacob saw these ads as he was using the internet over the past few days.

Anyhow, we had a GREAT time at Disneyland! It was not crowded, we had walk-ons on just about every ride! We spent Thursday and Friday there and on Saturday went to Six Flags Magic Mountain..our old stomping grounds :-) and again, no crowds!

We then made our way back to Vegas for the night and spent the night at Saundra's (Shelley's sis) house and had a great visit and a wonderful trip!
