Shelley's 30th Bday (sorta)

Ok, it's Shelley's 30th or so birthday! To celebrate, I thought' I would use some color today for this post! Shelley has been waiting for this day for so long and it's finally come!  What was planned? Hmmm...how about a little caching, museums, some visiting with family, and swimming? How could you beat that?

We started out by finding around 15 caches in the morning. Here are some highlights:

See this drain? It's all FAKE.... The whole thing is a hiding place for a cache.

 

This next one was out in the boonies.....And it was called "No Littering". It was right by this sign:

And to the left of the sign was this:

And to the right of the sign, was this:

 

We found a rock that looked normal from the top...but the underside of the rock was anything but normal!

 

This next one was called "Water In The Tree" and it was hidden behind some bark in a hole in the tree: (If you can't see the "water" too well, click on the pic to make it bigger)

 

We then headed over to the Discovery Space and Science Museum on the way to Lynnette's (Doug's sister) house. The kids like the "talking tree" they have there:

Then it was time to head over to Lynnette's house for a dinner and swimming and visiting. Even Grandma Petersen was there! We are so glad to have Grandma Petersen so close to us and spend time with her! We love her so much! (too bad she wasn't looking at the camera!)

 

Even Cherie (Doug's sister) and her family were there! They wanted to be a part of Shelley's birthday so much, they came down from Redding to be there! Here is Cherie,  Mom (Doug's Mom) and Grandma Petersen.
